We are happy to announce !Observe for palm compatible handhelds. This program works in conjunction with !Observe for Macintosh and !Observe for Windows.

National School Psychologist Convention

The NASP convention was an exciting time for us at Psychsoft.  We had a wonderful time meeting many of our customers and demonstrating the !Observe to the convention attendee's.  We unveiled the new Psychsoft packaging (see below) and conducted a drawing on two consecutive days for the !Observe data collection system.  Congratulation to Hope Taylor from California and Roger Zeeman from New Jersey.

At the NASP convention many people were interested in who we are and how and why we developed the !Observe.

Dr. Sander Martin is the head of the School Psychology graduate program at the University of North Texas. A University of Oregon graduate, he has been practicing school psychology since 1971. His interest in naturalistic observation stems from his exposure to the work of Oregon Research Institute and the observational coding systems developed there. Dr. Martin had been searching for an easier, more powerful way to take behavioral data since his time at the University of Oregon.  This led to his development of the !Observe and starting Psychsoft Inc.

Brian Hoelzen is a practicing school psychologist in the Pacific Northwest.  Mr. Hoelzen worked with Dr. Martin while in graduate school and helped train psychologist and behaviorist in "stream of behavior" data collection.  Mr. Hoelzen uses the !Observe in his daily practice and is a strong advocate of making sure the software is easy to use and practical for all professionals who use it.  In addition to working as a school psychologist, Mr. Hoelzen is the director of marketing for Psychsoft and the president of Psycsoft Northwest (the West coast distributor for the !Observe).
